9-10 PM Oftania ‒ Vy Bus garage, Ørnevegen 5 in Geiranger centre

Oftania is an audiovisual concert installation by musician Aleksander Kostopoulos and video artist Torbjørn Thrane Sandnes. Aleksander is placed inside a cube and performs a formidable mix of percussion and electronics. Assisted by light, video and textiles, he blends seamlessly with the visual design. The audience can move freely around the cube in the room’s centre. This will give you an opportunity to discover and get close to various visual and audible elements, depending on where you choose to stand in the room. The theme of Oftania is life, and life’s impermanent nature. We have to wake up, we won’t get a replay.

Tickets NOK 100/50 can be ordered HERE or at the door. Note: Limited amount of tickets.

5 PM-1 AM LightPUB at Brasserie Posten

Extend and digest your experiences of art and nature together with new and old friends at the light pub! Brasserie Posten invites you to an atmosphere with cozy lighting and simple, tasteful evening meals on Friday and Saturday. Bring your friends and family to Geiranger this weekend and experience the spectacular light art exhibition accompanied by a good meal and something tasteful to drink.

10.15-11.15 PM Night cruise on the Geirangerfjord

As a contrast to the beautiful light art in the centre of Geiranger, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience the Geirangerfjord in silent darkness! The night cruise will glide quietly through the World Heritage area, to spots with no artificial lighting.

Imagine to sit on deck in the middle of the fjord in a darkened boat, experiencing total darkness and accompanied by an atmospheric solo concert by musician Ole Jørn Myklebust. Perhaps you will be able to study the stars, the northern lights or a magical, dark and quiet fjord landscape? We have never invited guests to such an experience before, YOU may be among the first ones!

Your meeting point will be HERE

We will be happy to lend you a thermal suit for the trip ‒ this will be handed over when boarding the boat at the quay in Geiranger. Hot drinks will be served during the trip. Join a unique night cruise on the World Heritage fjord!

Get your tickets HERE.
